BRITISH COLUMBIA

Motorcycles were included in the first provincial motor vehicle registration law of 1904, but no special provisions for smaller plates were in place even as of early 1911.  Province-issued motorcycle plates began in 1913 at the same time as passenger plates.  The highest known 1913 motorcycle plate is #949; a total of 1,000 single plates had been ordered from the manufacturer.
